Hormones

Industrial dairy farms feed cows hormones to increase milk production. In the United States, the hormones were one of the first genetically engineered products available to farmers.

Many health organizations worry about the association of these hormones to prostrate cancer, colon cancer and breast cancer. The European Union has banned their use. (see Cancer Prevention Coalition for more details).
